Bangladesh: 17 more die from COVID-19

Seventeen more corona patients died in last 24 hours in Bangladesh, taking the total tally to 6,021.

At the same time, a total of 1,842 new infection cases were recorded.

Now, the positive cases stands at 4,16,006.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) confirmed the matter through a press release signed by Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General of DGHS, on Thursday afternoon.

In the past 24 hours, 1,891 patients made recovery from the virus infection and total 3,33,588 recovered till today.

Of the today's dead, 14 were male while three were women. All of them died at different hospitals across the country.

Bangladesh reported its first coronavirus cases on March 8 and the first death on March 18.
