Drug trader jailed in Pirojpur

A mobile court in Pirojpur on Monday afternoon sentenced a drug peddler to three months in jail.

Jailed Md Sanwar Sentu, 40, is a resident of Dakhshin Bazar area in Kawkhali upazila of the district.

A team of Anti-Narcotics Department conducted a drive in the area and detained him alongwith hemp.

Later, a mobile court led by the upazila assistant commissioner (land) and executive magistrate Jannat Ara Tithi handed down the judgment.
