Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday inaugurated the 'Sheikh Hasina Bridge' over Madhumati river at Mohammadpur upazila in
Magura district.
The Prime Minister joined the video conference in the district Deputy Commissioner's office from her Ganabhaban official residence and inaugurated the bridge at around 10:00am.
Deputy Commissioner Ashraful Alam presided over the programme, while Magura-1 MP Alhaj Saifuzzaman Shikhor, Magura-2 MP Dr Biren Sikder, Superintendent of Police Khan Mohammad Rezwan and other officials were present on the occasion.
The length of the bridge is 600.70 meters and the width 9.80 meters. The construction cost of it has been estimated at Tk 63.31 crore.
