Minor girl dies as bus hits in Kurigram

An eight-year-old girl died when a passenger bus hit her at Ulipur upazila in Kurigram district on Tuesday morning.

Deceased Razia Sultana Rinti, 8, was the daughter of Ronju Mia, a resident of Kazipara village in the upazila.

Local and police sources said the accident took place while she was crossing a road in the area around 11 am, leaving her dead on the spot.

The bus left the spot hurriedly after the accident.

Ulipur Police Station sub-inspector (SI) Harisur Rahman confirmed the matter.
