College student killed as Nasimon overturns in Pirojpur

A college student was killed as a human hauler, locally known as Nasimon, overturned in bhandaria upazila of Pirojpur district on Wednesday morning.

Deceased Md Hasan Hawlader, 18, was an intermediate second year student of a college in Dhaka. He was the son of Zulfiqar Ahmed Jewel, a resident of Uttar Chenchri village in Kanthalia upazila of Jhalakathi.

Witnesses said Hasan alongwith his mother was returning home from his maternal grandfather house in Bhandaria upazila by a Nasimon. On the way, the vehicle turned turtle on the road in Banai area, leaving him critically injured.

He was rushed to Bhandaria Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.

Bhandaria Police Station officer in-charge SM Maksudur Rahman confirmed the matter.
