The
COVID-19 vaccine will be available in Bangladesh in January, said Health Minister Zahid Maleque.
The Minister came up with the announcement after signing a vaccine agreement with India's Serum Institute at the Directorate General of Health Services on Sunday.
"If everything goes well, Bangladesh will get the first shipment of the vaccine in January. Then, three crore doses of vaccine will come in the country in six months at the rate of 50 lakh per month, " Zahid Maleque said.
He also said the vaccine will be brought from another country if Oxford fails to provide more that 3 crore doses. Besides Oxford, we are discussing about vaccine from other countries like Russia, China, and the United States.
