Divers conducting rescue operation; 8 still missing

Eight people, who were on board when a trawler capsize in the River Meghna in Hatia upazila of Noakhali, are still missing till Wednesday noon.

Hatia river police in-charge Akram Ullah confirmed the news.

A diver team of Coast Guard from Bhola are conducting their search operation to find out the missing people, said Mohammad Ali, Hatia Coast Guard Station Commander.

The seven deceased buried at their respective family graveyards this morning.

The trawler sailed for Monpura of Bhola from Chandnighat of Hatiya capsized in the river on Tuesday afternoon that left seven people including a just-wed bride dead.
