Poet Arabinda gets Mahbubul Hoque Shakil Padak

The Mahbubul Hoque Shakil Sangsad has recently given the Mahbubul Hoque Shakil Padak to young poet Arabinda Chakraborti.

Arabinda has won this year’s padak for his book of poetry ‘Ratrir Rong Bibaho’ published between January 1 and December 31, 2019.

Winner’s prizes include a cheque for Tk 1 lakh, Uttorio, testimonials and books of poems and stories written by Shakil.

The Mahbubul Hoque Shakil Sangsad, formed to preserve the memory of the late poet and Prime Minister’s special assistant Mahbubul Hoque Shakil, is officially awarding the Mahbubul Hoque Shakil Padak to a young poet on his birthday on December 20 every year.
