Bangladesh reports 32 more corona deaths, 1,470 positive cases in 24hrs

Thirty-two more deaths from deadly coronavirus and 1,470 virus cases were recorded in Bangladesh in last 24 hours.

Now, the country's death toll stands at 7,312 while the positive cases at 5,02,183.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) confirmed the matter through a press release signed by Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General of DGHS, on Monday afternoon.

Of the deceased, 23 were male while nine were female. All of them died at different hospitals across the country.

In the past 24 hours, 2,167 more patients recovered from the deadly virus, raising the total recovery number to 439,694.

The country's latest infection rate is 16.24 per cent while the death rate is 1.46 per cent.

Bangladesh reported its first coronavirus case on March 8 and the first death on March 18.
