The wife and children of Bashundhara Group managing director Sayem Sobhan Anvir, lone accused of a case filed for instigating Mosarat Jahan Munia to commit suicide, left Dhaka by a chartered plane on Thursday night.

Sources at immigration police at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport said they left Dhaka on a chartered plane.

Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) chairman Air Vice Marshal Mofidur Rahman said the Basundhara Group authorities took permission of leaving the country by a special chartered plane on Wednesday. They were scheduled to leave the country today (Thursday).

It was learnt that the chartered flight carrying the eight passengers left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at about 10:00pm for Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai.

There were eight passengers on board the chartered plane. According to the passengers' list, Sayem Sobhan Anvir's wife Sabrina Sobhan, their two children, younger brother Safwan Sobhan's wife Yeasha Sobhan and their daughter, and three domestic helps of two families--Diana Harnandez Chakanando, Mohammad Kader Mir and Hosne Ara Khatun left Dhaka by the chartered plane.

Earlier, Sayem Sobhan Anvir's younger brother Safwan Sobhan also left the country.

Following the filing of a case in Mosarat Jahan Munia's death on April 26, a court in Dhaka imposed travel restriction on Sayem Sobhan Anvir's leaving the country on April 27 responding to a plea of Gulshan police. However, there are rumours that Anvir has also left the country.

On Thursday, Gulshan Division's deputy commissioner Sudeep Kumar Chakravarty told journalists that Sayem Sobhan Anvir is in the country according to the information on the database of the immigration authorities. He uses two passports. There is no information available to police about his leaving the country using none of the two passports.
