The bodies of seven people who died in explosion in Dhaka’s Moghbazar on Sunday evening have been identified and handed over to their respective families.
The deceased have been identified as Jannat, 23, and his nine-month-old daughter Sobhana, private car driver Swapan, 39, bus driver Abul Kashem Mollah, 45, private employee Ruhul Amin, 30, Sharma House restaurant chef Osman Gani Tushar, 35, and Radio Dhwani journalist Mostafizur Rahman, 26.
Ramna Police Station sub-inspector Mohsin Sarder on Monday night said that seven bodies have been handed over.
“The bodies of the seven people who killed in the horrific blast had been handed over to their families and relatives. Their bodies were handed over to their relatives from Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue today,” said the SI.
SI Mohsin said the bodies of Jannat and her daughter were handed over to their relatives without an autopsy and the bodies of the remaining five have been handed over after autopsy.
Earlier, eight people were killed and more than 50 others were injured in the blast that took place at Moghbazar around 7:30pm Sunday.
