Former Jhenidah-4 lawmaker Abdul Mannan dies

Former Member of Parliament (MP) from Jhenaidah-4 constituency Abdul Mannan died at Kaliganj upazila in Jhenidah district on Tuesday morning.

He breathed his last at his residence at Arpara in Kaliganj town at the age of 75.

He had been suffering from diabetes for a long time.

Abdul Mannan left behind wife, one son, one daughter and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.

Mannan was elected as MP from Jhenaidah-4 as a Bangladesh Awami League candidate in 2008.

He was the President of the Kaliganj upazila unit of Awami League in 2004.
