B Chy turns 87, wants healthy politics

Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh (BDB) President Dr AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury on Tuesday urged the major political parties to return to healthy politics shunning arrogance, terrorism and corruption.
The BDB chief, who turned 87 on Tuesday, made the call at a discussion organised marking his birthday at the party's Kuril Biswa Road central office.
"I've always tried not to tolerate corruption. Maybe, my party is not that much big as some other ones. But, I believe we'll be able to tackle big forces someday," he said.
B Chowdhury, also a former president, further said, "I call upon all, those who engage in politics in Bangladesh, you please exercise healthy politics. Don't show arrogance and turn away from corruption and terrorism."
Or else, he warned, the future generation will not forgive them.
Earlier, BDB leaders and activists greeted their president with flowers on his 86th birthday.    �UNB
