Land information based mobile application named "Vumi Seba" has been developed by Sadequr Rahman, Upazila Nirbahi Officer, Singra, Natore, on August 1, 2015 to put an end to land related critical issues and annoyances.
"Despite the fact that land is valuable asset, most people do not have proper knowledge about the land laws and land related aspects. Hence, to provide knowledge regarding the land laws and guidance about land related issues, this app has been invented," says the Executive Magistrate.
A2i Program located at Prime Minister's Office encouraged Sadequr Rahman to invent the apps. Finally in assistance with the Ministry of Land, the Executive Magistrate started to work for reducing time, cost & visit of a citizen.
He also added that in order to get the required land related information, people need to visit land office or lawyers several times. In many cases, they are cheated by brokers or other persons and lose money. For all of these reasons, service recipients have to face financial, physical, and psychological hassles. There comes Vumi Seba to provide information about citizen's charter (Service Delivery Charter), he shared.
Sadequr Rahman mentioned, "Besides these services, recipients can put their valuable opinions and complains that will be delivered to the concerned authority for action."
All of this information, every two months later, latest land related government circular containing with newly included land topics/laws and elaboration of existing topics will be uploaded in this app in order to inform people about the latest issues of land, he added.
However, one of the most important aspects of this mobile application --- it is easy to install and use. One can find it easily from Google play store by the name Vumi Seba or by going to the link https://goo.gl/ahdqEk and then can get all contained information by installing it from anywhere of the world.
The concerned authority believes that this app achieves citizens' satisfaction by saving their time and money and by reducing the role of brokers existing in this land sector.
