Sayeedi's janaja held in Pirojpur

The namaz-e-janaja of Jamaat-e-Islami leader Delwar Hossain Sayeedi, who was jailed until death in a case filed for crimes against humanity, was held in Pirojpur district.

Jamaat ameer Professor Mujibur Rahman led the janaja at Sayeedi Foundation ground around 1:15 PM.

Earlier, the body reached 'Allama Sayeedi Foundation' established by him at 10 am on Tuesday under police guard. His body will be buried next to the grave of his eldest son Rafiq bin Sayeedi in the cemetery of the foundation after the janaja on Sayeedi Foundation ground.

Supporter of Jamaat from different parts of the country participated in the janaja.

Earlier, Delawar Hossain Sayeedi died at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital at around 8:40 PM on Monday (August 14).
