Police recovered the
body of a woman from a pond of a school in Sadar upazila of
Magura district on Saturday.
The deceased was Rubiya Begum, 55, wife of Kawsar Ali Sheikh of Bhaina village of the upazila.
Magura Sadar Police Station officer in charge Sekandar Ali said locals saw the body floating in the pond of Magura Government High School around 9am and informed police.
Being informed, police recovered the body and sent to Magura Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, he said.
It is not clear whether she committed suicide or was killed but the actual reason behind the death would be known after autopsy, the OC added.
