Ship from Indonesia arrives at Mongla port with coal for Rampal power plant

A commercial vessel, MV Luna Rosa, has anchored at Mongla Port with coal for Rampal Thermal Power Plant.

The commercial ship carrying Liberian flag anchored at Harbaria-11 anchorage of Mongla Port at around 2:00pm on Tuesday .

The ship's local shipping agent M/s Togi Shipping and Logistics Limited assistant manager (Khulna) Khandakar Riazul Haque said the ship left Indonesia on September 9 with 34,200 metric tons of coal.

Coal unloading from the ship started in the afternoon. Along with the unloading, these are being taken to Rampal thermal power station jetty through literage (boat). From there the coal of the ship is being stored in the warehouse of the power plant.

Earlier on September 23, MV Bashundhara Impress arrived at Mongla port from Indonesia with coal for Rampal thermal power station.
