National Sanitation Month, Global Handwashing Day celebrated in Rangamati

National Sanitation Month and Global Handwashing Day was celebrated in Rangamati district on Monday with the theme of 'Clean Hands Are Within Reach'.

Rangamati Zilla Parishad and Department of Public Health Engineering jointly organized a discussion at the zilla parishad's Annex Building in the morning on the occasion of the day.

Rangamati Zilla Parishad chairman Angsui Pru Chowdhury was present as the chief guest at the discussion with Public Health Engineer Department executive officer Parag Barua in the chair conducted by assistant engineer Subrata Barua.

At that time, Rangamati Zilla Parishad chief executive officer Ashraful Islam, Sadar Upazila Parishad vice chairman Nasrin Islam, Durgeshwar Chakma, District Disabled School general secretary Nurul Abshar were present, among others.

Earlier, an awareness rally was brought out from Happyr Mor which ended at the zilla parishad.
