Two semifinals of Independence Cup to be held Friday

Two semifinals matches of the Independence Cup Football will be held on Friday at two separate venues across the country.

Mohammedan Sporting Club will take on Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society in the first semifinal at Sheikh Fazlul Haque Mani Stadium in Gopalganj at 1.45 pm while Abahani Limited, Dhaka to face Bashundhara Kings in the second semis at Bashundhara Kings Arena at 4pm.

The final of the meet will be held on Monday (December 18) at 1.45 pm at Sheikh Fazlul Haque Mani Stadium in Gopalganj.

Earlier, Mohammedan Sporting Club edged past Chittagong Abahani Limited by a solitary goal while Bashundhara Kings beat Bangladesh Army Football Club by 2-1 goals, both their respective quarterfinal matches.
