Dhaka court sends fake female doctor to jail custody

A Dhaka court on Monday sent Munia Khan Roza (25) to jail custody allegedly for impersonating a doctor.

Munia used to introduce herself as a gynecology doctor at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) and sent many poor patients from government hospitals to private hospitals and black mail them by stealing mobile phones of  doctors.

Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Jashim passed the order after Shahbagh police produced her before the court with a prayer to keep her in jail custody.

On Saturday night, DMCHs Ansar members caught Munia from the hospital as they considered her a fake doctor.
 
The Ansar troops seeing her moving inside the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospitals new building became suspicious and caught her by analysing CCTV footage.

Munia admitted that she created a fake identity card of DMCH from Nilkhet, and purchased  doctors apron and stethoscope from Mitford.

DMCH ward master Zillur Rahman filed a case with the Shahbagh Police Station in this regard on Saturday night.

Munia from Chandpur Sadar, lives at Nazimuddin Road in Old Dhaka, said an Ansar officer.

Police found her fake TikTok ID  of doctor. Munia visited DMCH wards and gave treatment to patients.
