41 crude bombs recovered in C’nawabganj

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) recovered 41 crude bombs from an abandoned house in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj on Friday night but no was arrested in this connection.

Lt Col Md Munim Ferdous, commander of the RAB-5 in Rajshahi, informed this to media at a press briefing on Saturday morning.

He said being tipped off, a RAB team recovered the crude bombs from the house in Lavanga Sundorpur area under Nayalabanga union of the upazila around 8pm on Friday but no one was arrested in this connection.

Later, the bombs were deactivated in a mango orchard, the RAB officer said.

He said they continue drives to arrest those who are involved in this connection.
