World Aquatics Championship 2024: Bangladesh Swimming team to fly for Qatar Thursday night

Bangladesh Swimming team is due to leave for Qatar on Thursday at 8:00 pm to compete in the 21st edition of the World Aquatics Championship' 2024, now being held in Doha from February 2 to 18.

The four-member Bangladesh swimming team consists of two swimmers and two officials.

They are: MB Saif (Congress Representative), AKMA Hasan Firoz (Team Official), and swimmers Samiul Islam Rafi and Sonia Khatun, UNB reports.

Samiul will compete in the men's 50-metre freestyle on February 11 and the men's 100-metre backstroke on February 12.

Sonia will compete in the women's 100-metre butterfly on February 16 and the women's 50-metre freestyle on February 17.
