Two leaders of the Bangladesh Jubo Mohila League, Pervin Chand Mishu, 38, the organization's legal affairs secretary, and Sabrina Eti, 32, its office secretary, have been remanded in police custody for three days in connection with a case filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA).

The ruling was made by Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate MA Azharul Islam after the police presented the two women before the court, requesting a five-day remand for each. Mishu and Eti were arrested by law enforcement on the afternoon of April 6.

The case stems from an incident on April 4, 2024, when a group of 14-15 individuals, including leaders and activists from the banned Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) and Jubo Mohila League, staged a procession in front of the Planning Commission in Agargaon, Dhaka. The group quickly dispersed upon noticing the presence of police.

Following the incident, a case was filed with the Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station.
