The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized 10 cattle suspected to have been smuggled from India along the Shibganj border in Chapainawabganj on Thursday morning.

According to a BGB statement, a team from the Monaksha Border Outpost (BOP) carried out a raid at an orchard in Charpaka Setarpara, located near the Monaksha border in Shibganj upazila. The operation followed a tip-off that a number of Indian cattle were tied up in the area.

The BGB believes that the cattle were brought across the border by smugglers and were being stored for further transportation. The seized animals are being processed for handover to the Chapainawabganj Customs Office.
