Motorcyclist killed in Satkhira road accident

A tragic road accident in Satkhira's Debhata upazila claimed the life of a motorcyclist earlier Monday.

The deceased was identified as Abdur Rahman, 35, son of Jumman Gazi, and a resident of Komarpur village in the same upazila.

According to Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Saminul Haque, the incident occurred around 11 am on the Kulia-Komarpur road. A brick-laden trolley, coming from the opposite direction, collided head-on with Rahman’s motorcycle in the Kulia area, leaving him severely injured.

Locals quickly came to his aid and rushed him to Satkhira Medical College Hospital. However, doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival.

Police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
