Man electrocuted in Jhenaidah

A man died after being electrocuted in Sarabaria area under Kaliganj upazila in Jhenaidah on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Jahangir Hossain, 35, son of Akbar Biswas, a resident of Sarabaria area of the upazila.

Jahangir came in contact with an electric wire while he was starting an electric motor for watering his seedbed around 12.30 pm.

He was taken to Kaliganj Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.

Kaliganj Police Station officer-in-charge (Investigation) Mofazzel Hossain confirmed the matter.
