Elderly man dies from snakebite in Bhola

A 60-year-old man died after being bitten by a venomous snake on Sunday night (June 29). 

He passed away while undergoing treatment at Monpura Upazila Health Complex.

The dead Yunus Bayrapari was a resident of Bhuiyar Hat village uneder Hajirhat union in the upazila.

Locals said that Yunus was bitten by the snake while putting on his shoes after stepping outside his home on Sunday night. Upon hearing his calls, his son saw the snake and killed it. He was later taken to Monpura Upazila Health Complex around 10 pm. Despite receiving medical care, he died around 11:30 pm.

Monpura Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Ahsan Kabir confirmed the incident.
