Child's body found floating in Pabna river

Police recovered an unidentified floating body of a child from a river at Chatmohar upazila in Pabna district on Tuesday evening.

The deceased is yet to be known, aged nearly 5/6.

According to police, they recovered a floating body from the Gumani river after being informed by the locals at 6 PM.

Chatmohar Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Md Monjurul Islam confirmed the incident and said that the body has been sent to Pabna General Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

As the body is distorted, the identity can’t be discovered initially, added the OC.
