Smuggled mobile display worth Tk 1.31cr seized in Sherpur

Member of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on Wednesday afternoon seized smuggled Indian mobile display from Nalitabari Upazila in Sherpur district.

Confirming the matter, Mymensingh BGB-39 commander Lt Cl Md Mehedi Hasan said that a team of BGB personnel, acting on a tip off, conducted a drive near the border area of Ramchandrakura union under the upazila and seized 2572 pieces of mobile phone display which were smuggling through the border worth Tk 1.31 crore from the spot.

BGB also seized a motorcycle used for smuggling those goods, he added.
