The trainee allowance in the government's subject-based internal training has been doubled. At the same time, the honorarium of the trainers has been increased to Tk 1,100.
On Thursday, the Finance Ministry has issued a notification rescheduling the speaker honorarium and training allowance rates for subject-based internal training.
According to the new notification, employees of the third grade or joint secretary and above will receive a trainer honorarium of Tk 3,600 per hour session. Earlier, it was rescheduled to Tk 2,500 in May 2019. That is, in a span of about five years, this allowance has increased to Tk 1,100.
Earlier, this allowance was Tk 1,200. However, employees of the fourth and fifth grades or deputy secretaries and below will receive a trainer honorarium of Tk 3,000 per hour session. Earlier, it was Tk 2,000. Until now, employees of grade-9 and above used to receive a training allowance of Tk 600 per day for the training of trainees. From now on, it has been increased to Tk 1,200. The daily training allowance of employees below grade-10 was Tk 500. It has now been increased to Tk 1,000.
Similarly, the honorarium of the course director has been increased from Tk 1,500 to Tk 2,000 per day, the honorarium of the course coordinator has been increased from Tk 1,200 to Tk 1,500 per day and the honorarium of the support staff has been increased from Tk 500 to Tk 1,000.
