Panchagarh has been gripped by an increasing winter chill as the district recorded minimum temperatures in the 13°C range for five consecutive days.

At 9 am on Sunday (30 November), the Tetulia Weather Observatory reported a minimum temperature of 13.1°C. Humidity rose to 84 percent. Although light fog appeared at dawn, there was no sign of dense fog. Later in the morning, the sky cleared with bright sunshine, but the cold persisted.

On Saturday, the minimum temperature at the same time was also 13.1°C, while the maximum temperature during the day reached 29°C. In the days before that, temperatures ranged between 13.2°C and 13.1°C. As a result, despite sunny conditions during the day, the cold has been noticeably intense during the early morning hours.

Jitendranath Roy, a meteorologist at the Tetulia Weather Observatory, said that winter in Panchagarh is gradually intensifying. Temperatures may drop further in December, and there is also a possibility of a cold wave.
