Man killed in Nilphamari road crash

A man was killed in a road accident at Kachari Bazar in Nilphamari Sadar upazila on Saturday morning.

The deceased was Helal Hossain, 35, son of Naijul Islam of Uttar Araji Charaikhola village of the upazila. He was a worker of Uttara EPZ.

According to locals, the incident took place on the Nilphamari-Saidpur road when a speeding truck hit Helal's motorcycle and he lost control of the bike and fell on the road, crushed under the wheels of the truck and died on the spot. 

Confirming the incident, Nilphamari Sadar Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) M.R. Sayeed said that the deadly truck has been seized. The body has been handed over to the family after completing the legal process.
