The nation is observing the state mourning for the second consecutive day following the death of former prime minister and chairperson of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Begum Khaleda Zia.
As part of the programme, the national flag has been kept at half-mast at all government, semi-government, autonomous institutions, educational institutions, all public and private buildings, as well as at Bangladesh missions abroad.
It was found in the morning that the national flag of the was flying at half-mast at the new building number 1 of the Secretariate's Cabinet Division and the Ministry of Public Administration.
Some officials were also seen wearing black badges.
