2 killed in road mishap on capital’s Mouchak Flyover

Two individuals were killed in a head-on collision between a CNG-run autorickshaw and a motorcycle on the capital’s Mouchak Flyover early Thursday.

The deceased were identified as autorickshaw driver Md Nayon Talukder, 70, of Dholaipar in Jatrabari and Md Yasin Arafat, 21, a resident of Dakshin Mugda of the city.

According to sources, both victims were rescued in a critical condition and taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where the on-duty doctors declared them dead on arrival at about 6:15 AM.

DMCH police outpost in-charge inspector Md Faruk said the bodies have been kept at the hospital morgue and the concerned police station has been informed.
