Cold wave may continue, temperature drops to 7°C in Sreemangal

A cold wave is prevailing across 24 districts, according to Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).

A latest bulletin issued on Thursday morning said, the situation has slightly improved as 44 districts were under cold wave conditions on Wednesday.

The lowest temperature in the country was recorded in Srimangal at 7 degrees celsius.

According to the Srimangal Weather Observation Centre, the temperature stood at 7 degrees Celsius at 6AM, down from 8.6 degrees Celsius recorded on Wednesday.

BMD officials said that the cold wave may continue for several more days, with its coverage shifting from one area to another.
