Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Aminul Islam Bulbul on Saturday firmly dismissed the possibility of national team playing at any venue in India during the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

Speaking to reporters, Bulbul said there would be no separate consideration of Indian venues, making Bangladesh’s position clear.

“Any venue in India is still India. We are not taking any unilateral decision regarding the World Cup. Whatever decision is taken will be made in consultation with the government. Our position remains unchanged,” he said.

When asked about reports of unofficial proposals to stage Bangladesh’s matches in cities such as Hyderabad or Chennai, the BCB president said he was unaware of any such discussions.

“No, I haven’t heard anything like that,” he added.

Highlighting Bangladesh’s progress and consistency in international cricket, Bulbul said the team has established itself as a competitive force over the years.

“Over the past 25 years, particularly in the last decade, Bangladesh have played semi-finals and quarter-finals and produced some outstanding performances in World Cups. We are a strong and exciting team and will perform well in this World Cup too,” he said.
