Community Bank Bangladesh PLC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the SME and Special Programmes Department (SMESPD) of Bangladesh Bank to implement the Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) under the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP) of the Finance Division, Ministry of Finance.
The MoU was signed and exchanged at the Jahangir Alam Conference Room of Bangladesh Bank on Thursday, says a press release.
Nurun Nahar, Deputy Governor, and MsHusne Ara Shikha, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank, were present at the signing ceremony.
On behalf of Bangladesh Bank, Nawshad Mustafa, Director, and Md Nazrul Islam, Program Director (PD) and Additional Director of SMESPD, signed the agreement. Kimiwa Saddat, Managing Director (Current Charge) of Community Bank Bangladesh PLC, signed the MoU on behalf of the Bank.
Also present at the event were Mohammad Wasim, Deputy Program Director (DPD) - Programmes and Joint Director; Muhammad Ariful Islam, Coordinator - Programs and Deputy Director of Bangladesh Bank; and Hossain-Al-Safeer Chowdhury, Head of SME, and Sharif Hasan Mamun, Head of Agriculture of Community Bank Bangladesh PLC, along with other senior officials of Bangladesh Bank.
