11-party postpones press conference on seat-sharing

The 11-party alliance, led by Jamaat-e-Islami, has postponed its scheduled press conference on  final seat-sharing decision.

The press conference was scheduled to be held at 4:30PM on Wednesday.

The party confirmed this in a statement signed by Hamidur Rahman Azad, coordinator of the 11-party alliance.

Ahead of the 13th national parliamentary elections, discussions over seat-sharing among Jamaat-e-Islami, the National Citizen Party and nine other parties are yet to reach final consensus though continuous discussion.

Earlier, Rashed Pradhan, vice-president and spokesperson of the National Democratic Party (NDP) had said that the alliance would announce its final list of seats on Wednesday evening.
