
Under the initiative of Global SME Business Home (GSBH), Switzerland, the Pakistan Pre-Davos Edition of the Global SME Summit Davos 2026 is set to take place on 29�"30 April in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan.
The primary objective of this Pre-Davos initiative is to ensure strong and effective participation of Pakistan in the upcoming Global SME Summit Davos 2026. At the same time, it aims to enhance the international visibility of Pakistan’s SME sector and expand access to global markets, according to a press release.
The press release further stated that the Global SME Summit 2025, held in Switzerland, achieved significant international success with participation from delegates representing more than 50 countries. Pakistan’s 25-member delegation received notable recognition at the summit. In particular, the impactful representation by Khawaja Masood Akhtar, CEO of Forward Sports Plc, was widely praised in international circles. This participation highlighted Pakistan’s capacity to access more than 100 global markets.
The Islamabad Pre-Davos 2026 event will place special emphasis on two strategic priorities Green logistics and sustainable manufacturing, and Franchising Pakistani products and services as global brands.
Anis Khan, Founder and President of Global SME Business Home, said, ‘This initiative is not merely a networking platform; rather, it serves as a strategic gateway to strengthen Pakistan’s global presence, boost exports, build international partnerships, and establish local products and services in international markets.’
The summit will be graced by Khalid Ali Bahakim, Managing Director of Sea Power Saudi Arabia, as the Chief Guest. Key speakers will include Anis Khan, Founder and President of GSBH Switzerland; Benjamin Tallin, Founder and CEO of More Than Digital; Roman Sommerau, Vice President of Global SME Business Home; and Ambassador Emmanuel Amara Vandi Fomba, Global President of the Global Chamber on African Trade.
Other speakers include Christoph T. Spring, Executive Board Member of Global SME Business Home; Murat Seitnepesov, President of the Greater Caspian Association and Chairman of ICC Tajikistan; international franchise expert Dr. Edith B. Steiner; and Muhammad Ehsan Uddin Ansari, Commercial Manager of Sea Power for Marine Services (KSA).
Stakeholders believe that this summit will open new avenues of opportunity for Pakistan’s SME sector and play a significant role in advancing the country’s economic growth.
