The Bangladesh Coast Guard has been deployed in coastal areas to maintain peace and order ahead of the 13th National Parliamentary Election and Referendum 2026.

Bangladesh Coast Guard Director General Rear Admiral Md. Ziaul Haque gave this information at the Bashiria Ahmadiya Alhaj Abu Bakar Siddique Fazil Madrasa ground after inspecting the law and order situation in various constituencies of Sandwip, Chittagong on Thursday.

He said that since its establishment, the Bangladesh Coast Guard has been playing an important role in ensuring the security of the country's vast maritime, coastal and riverine areas.

In addition, the Coast Guard has become a symbol of trust among coastal residents by conducting various operations to protect the safety of people's lives and property.
