Bangladesh cruised to a commanding 90-run victory over Scotland in their ICC Women's T20 World Cup Global Qualifier Super Six match on Friday, extending their unbeaten run in the tournament.

Batting first at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground, Bangladesh posted a formidable 191 for 5 in their 20 overs, powered by an aggressive captain's knock and strong middle-order contributions. Captain Nigar Sultana led from the front with an unbeaten 56 off 35 balls, featuring five fours and three sixes, while Sobhana Mostary added a rapid 47 from 23 deliveries. Openers Dilara Akter (39) and Juairiya Ferdous (22) gave the Tigers a solid start with a 67-run opening stand that laid the platform for the later onslaught.

In reply, Scotland struggled to build sustained partnerships against disciplined bowling. Pippa Sproul top-scored for her side with 27 runs from 23 balls, but wickets fell regularly as Scotland were restricted to 101 for 9 in their 20 overs. Bangladesh's bowling attack was led by Marufa Akter, who finished with three wickets, while Sorna Akter chipped in with two scalps to put the Scottish batting under constant pressure.

The win marked Bangladesh's sixth consecutive victory in the qualifier, underlining their dominance in the campaign. Already assured of a spot in the Women's T20 World Cup, they head into their remaining fixtures with momentum and confidence.  Bangladesh's all-round performance showcased their depth and adaptability, balancing explosive batting with sharp bowling and fielding on a pitch that offered little respite to the visiting side. Scotland, meanwhile, will be disappointed with their inability to counter the sustained pressure, but will look to regroup ahead of their next challenge
