BGB seizes smuggled Indian goods from courier service 

FENI, Feb 4: The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), along with the army and police, conducted a joint raid at S.A Transport Courier Service in Mohipal, Feni, on Wednesday and seized a large consignment of smuggled Indian goods, arresting two people in the process. The estimated value of the confiscated goods is Tk 1.25 crore.

During the operation, officials recovered Indian sarees, three-piece dresses, body oils, body sprays, soaps, toothpaste, face washes, and fireworks. The manager of the courier service, Atikur Rahman, was taken to the BGB camp for questioning.

The raid took place on Shaheed Shahidulla Kaiser Road in Feni town in the presence of Feni 4 BGB Commander Lt. Colonel Mosharaf Hossain, Executive Magistrate Chayan Barua of the Feni Deputy Commissioner's office, and BGB Assistant Director Nazrul Islam.

The seized items were transported to the Feni BGB headquarters, where they were officially listed and handed over to Feni Sadar Model Police Station for further legal proceedings.
