Teen crushed under truck in Natore

A teenage boy was killed after being crushed under by a sand-laden truck in Singra upazila of Natore district on Saturday morning.

The deceased was identified as Jisas, 14, son of Israfil Islam of Kaliganj village in the upazila. Jisas had been staying at his maternal grandfather Afsar Ali’s house in Surjopur and was working as a helper on a sand-carrying truck

According to sources, the incident occurred around 8:30 AM in Surjopur village under Kalom union when he was crushed under the vehicle at the site, leaving him dead on the spot.

Confirming the incident, Singra Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) ASM Abdun Nur said that legal action is underway in connection with the incident.
