NABINAGAR, B'BARIA, Feb 7: Eight leaders of the Nabinagar Upazila unit of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) have been expelled from the party for violating party directives.
The expulsion order was issued through a press release signed by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
The expelled leaders include Engr. Shafiqul Islam and Hazrat Ali, members of Brahmanbaria district BNP; Abu Sayeed; former Nabinagar Upazila BNP Vice-President Mainuddin Mainu; AKM Habibur Rahman Khayer; former Nabinagar Upazila BNP Publicity Secretary Iqbal Molla; former Shyamgram Union BNP President Shafiqul Islam; and former Nabinagar municipal BNP vice-president Mobarak Bhuiya.
