Malaysian, Bhutanese CECs observe polling at DU Laboratory School

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) of Malaysia Ramlan Harun and Chief Election Commissioner of Bhutan Deki Pama on Wednesday afternoon visited the polling centres at University Laboratory School of Dhaka University (DU) to observe the voting process.

During their visit, a senior official of the Election Commission (EC) guided the two foreign CECs around the polling booths, while concerned presiding officer extended cooperation and provided necessary information.

According to election officials, a total of 1,034 voters are registered at University Laboratory School centre-101. As of 3:30 PM, 40.31 per cent of registered voters had cast their ballots.

The visit was part of the international observers’ activities to assess the conduct of the ongoing national election.
