Saudi Hajj Minister praises Bangladesh’s efficient Hajj management this year

Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah has praised Bangladesh’s efficient, disciplined, and well-organized management of this year’s Hajj.

During a bilateral meeting with Bangladesh’s Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofozzal Hossain Kaikobad held on Wednesday at the Pilgrims Experience Program Centre in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, he made the remarks.

During the meeting, the Saudi minister appreciated the overall success of Bangladesh’s Hajj management in 2026 and praised the initiatives taken by Bangladesh’s Ministry of Religious Affairs. 

He congratulated the minister for his sincere leadership in ensuring better services for pilgrims and conveyed his heartfelt thanks to Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman through the religious affairs minister.

Dr. Al-Rabiah highly commended Bangladesh’s efficiency and discipline in this year’s Hajj arrangements and sought Bangladesh’s cooperation in further improving the overall Hajj management system in the future. He also highlighted several initiatives undertaken by the Saudi government to further enhance Hajj arrangements for 2027.

Meanwhile, Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Kaikobad thanked and expressed gratitude to the Saudi government for its remarkable improvements in Hajj management.

He praised Saudi Arabia’s efforts in ensuring pilgrims’ safety, traffic control, crowd management, use of information technology, and services provided at Mashair areas, which created a supportive environment for performing Hajj.

The minister expressed gratitude to Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, and the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah for their continued support.

He assured that Bangladesh would continue to stand beside the Saudi government in improving Hajj management and enhancing services for the guests of Allah.

Bangladesh Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Mohammad Delwar Hossain, Hajj Counsellor Md. Kamrul Islam, and senior officials from both ministries were present at the meeting.
