Earthquake felt in Sunamganj

An earthquake was felt in the country on the first day of Ramadan. 

The tremor occurred at 12:46PM on Thursday, with its epicenter located in Sunamganj's Chhatak.

The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported that the quake measured 4.1 on the Richter scale.

The epicenter was 181 kilometers from Dhaka.

The tremor was felt for several seconds in Sylhet city and surrounding areas of the district. 

No immediate reports of damage or casualties have been received.
