PM unveils stamps for Int'l Mother Language Day

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Saturday unveiled commemorative postage stamps to mark Shaheed Day and International Mother Language Day.

The stamps were released in the morning at Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) in Tejgaon.

Among those present at that time were Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology and Science and Technology Minister Fakir Mahbub Anam, the ministry’s adviser Rehan Asif Asad, Political Adviser to the Prime Minister Nazrul Islam Khan, Public Administration Ministry adviser Ismail Zabiullah, State Minister for Youth and Sports Aminul Haque, Principal Secretary ABM Abdus Sattar and other senior officials.

Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister formally began work at PMO for the first time since assuming office. 

Despite the public holiday, he arrived at 10:10 AM, where he was received by Principal Secretary Sattar and Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon.
