RAJSHAHI, Feb 22: The two-day Amar Ekushey Book Fair was inaugurated in Rajshahi on Friday, organised by the Rajshahi Writers Collective to commemorate the martyrs of the Language Movement.

The fair began at 10 am at Bata Mor of Rajshahi City, with participants singing the national anthem in unison and hoisting the national flag. Organisers said, the event aims to bring together writers, publishers, and literary enthusiasts to celebrate the spirit of the Language Movement.

"The purpose of this fair is to honour the martyrs of the historic language struggle and provide a platform for literary exchange. Through books, poetry, and discussions, we want to celebrate their legacy," said the organisers.
