The Deputy Prime Minister-Foreign Minister of Pakistan Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephonic conversation with Foreign Minister Dr. Khalilur Rahman on Sunday evening.
Both leaders expressed desire to further strengthening bilateral ties, with a shared vision of peace, stability, and prosperity during their conversation.
They also agreed to expand cooperation across diverse sectors and in multilateral fora, building a forward-looking partnership for the peoples of Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, Pakistan keen to work closely with the new Government of Bangladesh to further strengthen and broaden bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
Pakistani High Commissioner Imran Haider conveyed his government's keen interest to the Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman and expressed the intent to explore new avenues of collaboration for the welfare of the peoples of both countries.
He also underscored the Bangladesh's priority of strengthening regional cooperation for the benefit of the peoples of all countries of the South Asian region.
The envoy also met the State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ms. Shama Obaed Islam.
